Failed Capitalism PGE and Failed Government PUC

Here's the ugly truth, y'all.  The answer is there is no answer.  Everybody is screaming at PGE for power shut-offs.  Think about it.  It's capitalism plain and simple.  People invest in the "market" which includes PGE to make money.  Sure, there are cute little tricks like short sales and investment loss harvesting, but the overall goal is for the investors to profit.  That's why they invest.  PGE upper management has to make the company look good (on paper at least) to attract more capital.  PGE is an antiquated source for energy.  It's going to be more and more difficult for PGE stay in business and churn a profit, which will make investors unhappy, which leads to more of the same declining state of power lines and maintenance.  With the installation of solar and alternative energy, unless PGE is actively behind such endeavors, their entire system of energy delivery is out of date.  They need to think forward with microgrids and battery storage.

All large corporations are slow to adapt.  PGE is no different.  However, our dependence on them and the market forces that are happening are making the decision to rely on PGE is making the inevitable demise of PGE happen on an escalated scale.

sigh..... unkept power lines and devastating fires every October.  Sorry, there's no magic wand to make investors happy when thousands of miles of are in need of massive upkeep.  It costs MONEY.  PGE cuts corners to make the financial statements look good.  It's all in vein.  Sooner or later it all catches up.

Which brings in the California PUC.

Their job is to make sure that PGE is doing what they are supposed to be doing.  But guess what.  An appointment to the PUC is a political favor.  It's like appointing the fox watching the hen house.  I have never heard once a politician cast any blame at the PUC.  Coincidence?  I think not.  If any of our politicians had any guts and/or integrity, they would haul in the PUC for some answers to the lack of oversight and action.... but guess what...they've all been bought and paid for and are on an extended retirement vacation in the Bahamas.

4-Que Feinstein, Newsom, Pelosi, and all you other fake do-gooders.  Just go on camera for ONCE and own up to your lack of results despite being in politics and making promises for decades.  ....and to think these clowns are so focused on impeaching the newcomer.
