#MeToo

#MeToo

It's the flagship phrase for all women who have been subject to men who keep on dismissing us, groping us, harassing us, etc. 

Newsflash:  One of the biggest offenders of the #MeToo are the industries that employ men from foreign countries - namely the tech and financial industry.  There are certain cultures, especially Indian and Asian men, who treat women like second class citizens.  It shows up in the corporate setting when we are put together onto teams.   We are talked over and ridiculed for our ideas.  We are given diminutive roles on the project.  Our work is not valued.  We are basically ignored. Corporate management does not care.  They need the project completed and are hands off with how the team gets it done. 

Being ignored and dismissed comes at a huge price.  When it comes to our annual review and it's time for a promotion or raise we are criticized by management for not being worth our weight on the team project. How can we be worth our weight when we are dismissed and ignored?  It's a viscous cycle.
