Birthday Party

Tonight a good friend of mine turned 50.  Her party was out of this world.  She is a Jewish girl who grew up in Oakland.  Her friends are extremely diverse.  Every age, ethnicity, and religion were represented there tonight.  She had a live band that was as diverse as her friends.  It really was the epitome of what humanity should be about....people every kind of color and background just eating, drinking, dancing and finding simple joy.
