Poor Wells Fargo...not. They were caught with their pants down opening up unauthorized accounts. Let me tell you this with 1000% accuracy. Wells Fargo was NOT the only bank doing this. Wells Fargo just happened to get CAUGHT and is now taking the rap for the entire banking industry. I'm just sad that the entire banking industry did not get reprimanded for this.
Don't believe me???? Just talk to ANY bank employee off the record. They were all pressured to call friends, neighbors, relatives, whomever, and push loans and credit cards saying that they noticed we had a new car in the driveway and construction going on at the house, etc. ....asking nosy personal finance questions that were none of their business.....and pushing obtaining a loan/refinance/credit card from their bank.
