Ok, so I indulged in a little political snarkiness with the upcoming election. The whole stupid- comments-said-by-either-party theme is now officially overkill. Bored. NEXT!!!!
Let's get down to what really matters. One candidate has made it certain through financial actions what he values. It's obvious women, American middle class, and the environment don't make the list. His memory has the capacity of only four years. Sorry, but I don't want somebody with the onset of Alzheimers running the country. Somebody who can't understand history is doomed to repeat it. Plus, he comes across as a plastic, spoiled, pushy asshole who will trample on anybody to achieve his goal. He got kind of preachy and 'holier than thou' with his religious bullshit at the end of the last debate. I wonder if he was wearing the Mormon Magic Underwear? Being this particular candidate hates the government so much AND taxes, AND was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, if he will do the job for free? Somehow, I'm not holding my breath.
The other candidate went into this young and naive. People bought into the dream. People don't understand the complexity of change and that it can take more than four years. Implementing change does not happen overnight and we live in an instant-result-quick-fix society. Is he perfect? No. Has he made mistakes? Yes. At least he is not an overt asshole.
People want jobs. I get that. Just remember that it's hard to balance what is good for the economy along with what is good for the environment. The world is changing. Have you updated your education and skills accordingly? Are you the kind of person an employer would want to hire? Are you the type of employer people want to work for? It all comes down to one simple philosophy -- ALL people want to be treated with respect, honesty, and fairness. It's not rocket science.
